Information entered by the sender may be found at the bottom of the email headers. This information includes tags such as “Subject,” “From” and “To.” The date and time are entered by the system and represent when the message was submitted by the sender to the provider.
How do I analyze email headers in Outlook?
View message headers in Outlook on your desktop
- Double-click an email message to open it outside of the Reading Pane.
- Click File > Properties.
- Header information appears in the Internet headers box.
How do you read an email code?
In Microsoft Outlook, double-click to open an email. You’ll see an “Actions” menu under the “Message” tab. Click on that menu and select the “Other Actions,” then click on “View Source” to see the HTML code.
