Can you drink alcohol on trains TransPennine?
If you are expecting to be plied with free booze a Transpennine Express is not the place for you. Buy your own wine or beer and take it on board with you. Unless it’s a ‘dry train’ at a weekend because football fans are travelling, this is never a problem in most of the UK.
Do I need to reserve a seat on TransPennine?
You can not currently reserve seats on TransPennine Express trains. If you have an advance ticket you should travel on the train you have booked, those with flexible tickets can board any train without a reservation.
