Is Sauron a guy or girl?
Sauron has always been male, from his birth from Eru Ilúvatar’s mind, to his vanishment. Sauron was one of the Ainur, which although starting as disembodied spirits, were already gendered from the start[1]. Sauron is always described as a he in all instances; as a male Maia and a Dark Lord[2].

Was Morgoth an elf?
